If you love snuggling up during fall with thick warm socks, cozy blankets, and a nice hot cup of fresh apple cider, then this recipe is for you!
Now you can skip out on all the gnarly white sugar store bought cider is loaded with – BONUS!!!, fill your house with wonderful, seasonal smells of fall while it cooks up 🙂
– 6 to 10 organic apples sliced into quarters
– 1/2 cup coconut sugar
– 4 cinnamon sticks
– 4 tablespoons all spice
(if you’re like me and fresh out of ‘all spice’, mix together 1.5 tablespoons cinnamon, 2 tablespoons cloves, and 1.5 tablespoons nutmeg (which by the way I was also out of) and stir this mixture into your pot)
Add all ingredients to pot and fill with water half way.
Bring to a boil over med-high heat for 1 hour – uncovered, checking on it frequently.
Turn down heat and simmer for 2 hours more – covered.
You may want to add extra water halfway through the cooking process if you’d like, adding extra spice afterwards if you prefer more kick.
Enjoy immediately after as it is the most delicious, liquid dessert your taste buds will ever experience!
